No... mullets, big bows and all white suits aren't back, it was '80's Prom Night for this group of friends and many others! I had a great time operating the photo booth for this event, I especially enjoyed the soundtrack that came with the evening...

I am so happy that I have reconnected with this friend from high school! Not only do I adore her daughter and love being around them, she keeps my hair looking fabulous!

I was thrilled when Carly said she wanted to take photos for the holidays. We managed to squeeze a tiny bit of sunshine out of Seattle that day, although it was freezing. Cami was a real trooper braving the cold during this shoot. We ended up at the Olympic Sculpture Park in downtown Seattle. Thanks for a fun afternoon ladies!

Resolutions

One of my resolutions for 2011 was to update this photo blog more often.

Make it my most current up-to-date portfolio.

I failed miserably.

I didn't update it once in 2011.

In the interest of making good on my past resolution I'm going to post a years worth of photo jobs during the month of February.

One update each day of this month.

I thought I'd start the month off with two familiar faces.

Not only do I get to photograph these two kiddos, at least officially one time a year, I still spend most week days with them. Going on 9 years and I still love my 'day' job.

I've had the pleasure of photographing my old high school's dance team for the past few years. The girls are always so sweet and bring lots of ideas to the shoot! Although it's been over ten years since I was on the dance team at Lake Washington High School, I still take pride in seeing the girls in their purple & white.

Every one of my childhood milestones was captured on film by my father. I have countless memories of him standing behind his Cannon TX clicking... clicking... and clicking. So it shouldn't have been much of a surprise that I became the one standing behind that same Cannon TX documenting everything after childhood. I am now the one clicking... clicking... and clicking.

The photographs my father took when I was young are among my most prized possessions. I love creating images and capturing moments for my clients that would otherwise be lost and eventually forgotten. I earned a degree in Commercial Photography from the Art Institute of Seattle in 2002. I am continiously working to improve my skills as a photographer especially as I explore Digital Photography. I am a natural light photographer based in the Seattle area. My favorite photo sessions happen outdoors when I can take advantage of the blue Seattle skies!
